DRAFT 2023-28 MRDT Strategies
Renewal of MRDT collection occurs every 5 years and requires the majority support of eligible accommodators and communities within a designated collection area. Cariboo Chilcotin Coast will be submitting to renew MRDT collection for the regional program by August 1, 2022.

These strategies were compiled with dedicated stakeholder consultations and feedback from our communities since the start of the regional program.
The draft 2023 Tactical Plan is available here. This plan may be updated to reflect the ongoing evolvement of the COVID-19 pandemic prior to its submission.

5 Year Strategic Plan
Meetings at the annual Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association Summit and AGM in Shearwater, Denny Island.
- Input from the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association Board of Directors.
- Community meetings in Williams Lake, Quesnel, Lillooet, Clinton and 100 Mile House.
- Extensive outreach and discussions with individual tourism businesses and stakeholders throughout the region (including Bella Coola and West Chilcotin).A survey distributed to all stakeholders in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association newsletter list (approximately 467) as well as identified PST/MRDT-eligible accommodations within the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region (approximately 150).

In total over 150 people participated in one or more of the above. This plan and the goals, objectives, strategies and actions described below are based on input from these sessions as well as from a situation analysis review, and One Year Tactical Plan (2018) enclosed within. This plan is intended to be a working document for the industry to embrace and evolve, in order to provide guidance to the newly formed MRDT Marketing Committee.
