COVID-19 Impact
BRITISH COLUMBIA REGIONAL TOURISM SECRETARIAT COVID-19 TOURISM IMPACT REPORTS
The BC Regional Tourism Secretariat (BCRTS) is a formal partnership between BC’s five regional destination management organizations (RDMOs), including Tourism Vancouver Island, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association, Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association and Northern British Columbia Tourism Association, to build and share collective expertise, and collaborate and lead on initiatives of shared regional importance. The British Columbia Regional Tourism Secretariat, British Columbia Hotel Association and the British Columbia Destination Marketing Organization Association are continuing to leverage our collective business network to collect, collate and report on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism businesses and to gather feedback on potential response and recovery measures. This tourism business intelligence is gathered weekly through both telephone and email surveys in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region and across the province.
